We had an enlightening and thought provoking talk from Alison Bristo about the plight of Orangutans.

Alison related her conservation experiences with Orangutans in Borneo and Sumatra. Her talk covered in detail the life of Orangutans. She highlighted how at risk Orangutans are as their natural habitat of the rain forest is rapidly disappearing as the cultivation of palm oil and timber takes over.

Alison is a Volunteer Ambassador for the Sumatran Orangutan Society.
